The Joy of the Lord is my Strength
While on a recent visit with other members of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church to some of the BFLC churches near Guntur, there were so many times that I saw the joy of the Lord alive in the people as they greeted the Americans who came to establish a new friendship. The song that I learned as a young child in Sunday School ("The Joy of the Lord is my Strength") has never been so alive to me as it is now after seeing it lived out in the ministry of the Bible Faith Lutheran Churches. The smiles, hugs, handshakes and hospitality that were lavished on our mission team filled my heart with joy. How wonderful to see God's word fulfilled in the hearts of believers half way around the world! We did not have to speak the same language to understand the common language of the Love of Jesus!
